In Holy Places – Experiencing Israel

(Approximate) [wpv-post-taxonomy type="group"]

This manual is used on our tours over to the “Holy Land”.  We are pleased to offer this study of the Middle East – Egypt, Jordan and Israel.  Experience has taught us that tour members are the happiest when they can understand what is being taught and the significance of the places they visit.  One of the best ways to do this is to be able to understand the dates, personalities, and major events which occurred in each area.

We therefore begin this study guide by introducing a successful learning technique called “remembering history with hook dates.”  As you learn this method, you will be able to attach the information and stories you hear and the experiences that you will have to appropriate dates and people of history. You will be delighted at the results of the effort you put into this method of study.

After the section on “hook dates”, we have included an assortment of carefully selected talks, lectures, reports and outlines which will add much to your educational journey.  Because some of the sources cover the same topic, there may appear to be some duplication, but since each subject is presented in its own unique way, additional insights can be gleaned from the various sources.

Throughout the manual, we have also included some of our own comments and information that we have researched during the many years we have journeyed from “the Land of Promise” to “The Holy Land.”
