(Ages 12 and up, 46 pages) The intrinsic value for math is “learning to think and self-govern using correct principles.”

This student workbook contains 27 principles of weights and measures. Students learn the basic standards of weighing and measuring with the customary units used in the U.S. They also learn the metric system as a matter of information. Principles also cover abbreviations commonly used and methods of converting smaller units, measuring foot-pounds, horsepower, and converting standard measurements to metric measurements. Several reviews and answer keys check the student’s knowledge throughout the book.

This method is different from other math books because students are expected to create and solve their own math problems. They can go as deep and difficult as they wish in order to challenge their understanding and knowledge of the use of weights and measures.
