(Ages 10 and up, 21 pages) The intrinsic value for math is “learning to think and self-govern using correct principles.”

This student workbook contains 15 principles of ratio & proportion, and an introduction explains the importance of understanding these principles. Students learn various vocabulary words associated with this subject, such as “units,” “rate,” “unit rate,” “true proportion,” and “cross products.” Students also learn the basics of comparisons. Several reviews and answer keys check the student’s knowledge throughout the book.

This method is different from other math books because students are expected to create and solve their own math problems. They can go as deep and difficult as they wish in order to challenge their understanding, knowledge and use of ratio and proportion.
